Welcome Ceremony 2025

    • Part 2 (12:00-13:30 h): Welcome Ceremony

The director of the Doctoral School of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Dr. Cristina Canal Barnils, is pleased to invite you to the Welcome Ceremony for PhD students for the 2025-2026 academic year, which will be held on the 11th of November 2025.

The first part of the event will start at 9:45 h in person at Vèrtex Auditorium and it is aimed at new doctoral students. The second part of the event will commence at 12:00 h and can be followed through streaming as well as in person. After the event ends, a brief snack will be offered to all attendees.

Presentation of the units that provide services and cross-disciplinary training to doctoral students:

11:15 to 11:30 hours

Presentation on the Doctoral Thesis.
11:30 to 12:00 hours

Welcome speech by Dr. Cristina Canal Barnils, director of the Doctoral School of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

Opening speech by Dr. Maria Pau Ginebra, professor of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and director of the Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Tissue Engineering Research Group.
