The UPC incorporates its 5,000th thesis into TDX

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) has reached 5,000 theses deposited in the Xarxa Doctoral Theses repository (TDX). In particular, it is the same UPC that entered the first thesis in 2001 with the start-up of the repository, and, 21 years later, it has already incorporated 5,000 theses.
Thesis 5,000 has been written by Yago Raymond, and is entitled Biomimetic bone grafts: from the lab to the clinic. The doctoral work has been directed by Maria Pau Ginebra, and presented at the UPC's Department of Materials Science and Engineering.
With this thesis, Raymond studies the use of bone grafts, a practice that is becoming more frequent and attracts more both at the level of research and the biomedical industry. The author focuses on biomimetic calcium deficient hydroxyapatite (CDHA) for the fabrication of synthetic bone grafts, from a translational research-oriented perspective.
