Industrial doctorate opportunity with Core-Safe Medical and BIOART
15/11/2023
An industrial doctorate project has been announced in partnership between Core-Safe Medical S.L. and the BIOsignal Analysis for Rehabilitation and Therapy (BIOART) Research Group at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. This project will focus on the forefront of biomedical engineering, particularly in the development of innovative parameters for medical devices with a specialization in cardiorespiratory monitoring technologies.
About Core-Safe Medical S.L.
Based in Mataró at the Tecnocampus, Core-Safe Medical is a leader in designing state-of-the- art, wireless, and high-performance medical devices at an affordable cost. With a mission to democratize basic monitoring methods for a broader range of medical situations, the focus is on non-invasive techniques for cardiac and respiratory deterioration, proving invaluable in intensive care, postoperative, and domestic or geriatric care settings.
About the doctorate project
Development of advanced algorithms of signal processing and IA to define a new Intelligent Respiratory Index (SRI) and to perform blood pressure predictions (BPpred) from signals obtained with an accelerometer, two microphones and an ECG (electrocardiogram) sensor. Patients’ data from different hospitals will be analysed to validate the medical device already available. More information can be found here.
