UPC will confer an honorary doctorate on Ignasi Terraza, pianist and computer engineer

On March 21st, at 6:30 PM, in the ONCE Auditorium, we will celebrate the ceremony for Mr. Ignasi Terraza's honorary doctorate by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech.

Ignasi Terraza is a source of inspiration for our university and for the community. He is an example in the university field because he was the first blind person to obtain a degree in Computer Science in Spain. Additionally, he has had a brilliant career as a jazz pianist, with a high international exposure, and has won several awards in recognition of his artistic talent.

The event will be a well-deserved tribute to a figure who represents the values of UPC, both for his spirit of achievement and for the impact of his artistic activity on a global scale.
