Grants

If you need funding to pursue your doctoral degree, you will find information on grants and predoctoral contracts by clicking on the following links.

General calls of predoctoral grants, financed by state and autonomous public bodies, and private foundations.  They offer predoctoral contracts of 3 or 4 years of duration to develop the doctoral thesis at the University, in any field. They are held annually between October and February, depending on the call. Consult the terms of each of them to find out their requirements.

Predoctoral grants programmes by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.  The UPC has two annual scholarship programs for the Training of University Professors and for the Training of Research Personnel. They are usually published between the months of March and July.

Predoctoral contracts to develop the doctoral thesis within a research project with external funding. UPC is a very active university in research, with numerous European and national research projects funded. These projects very often incorporate researchers in training through predoctoral contracts. Some of them are part of the Marie Sklodowska Curie Doctoral Networks actions or other sub-programmes of Horizon Europe. The calls are specific to each project and are repeated throughout the year. Check the website periodically to see the different offers. These grants are also published on the Euraxess portal.

Industrial Doctorate: If you want to develop your doctoral thesis in an industrial context, with an employment contract with the company, check the conditions that must be met on our website, and the various proposals for specific projects on the Pla de Doctorats industrials website of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
