Doctoral student Joan Hereu Morales will represent UPC at the finals of the "Present your thesis in 4 minutes" contest

Joan Hereu Morales, a doctoral student from the Sustainability programme, will take part in the inter-university finals of the Present your thesis in 4 minutes contest, which is organized by the Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRI). His presentation is titled “Quantifying the climate impact of production activities”.

On June 27th at 18:00, the finals of the seventh edition will take place at Tarragona's CaixaForum auditorium with twelve Catalan universities participating. The event will be streamed live on the FCRI's YouTube channel.

This contest challenges doctoral students to explain their research orally, in under 4 minutes, to a non-specialized audience. This allows to show support for the discoveries of doctoral students while encouraging them to communicate to society what they do, how they do it and why.

On the finals three prizes are awarded: the first and the second are decided by the jury's assessment and the third is chosen through popular vote. There is also an honourable mention for the best presentations.
