6th Call for Fulbright Scholarships for Predoctoral Research in the United States

The Fulbright Program (sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the governments of other countries, and the private sector) is a study aid program for the exchange of American graduates and those from member countries who can research, study or teach in the participating countries or in the USA.
One of the grants offered in Spain are the Fulbright Scholarships for Predoctoral Research, aimed at Spanish graduates who are pursuing a doctorate in Spain interested in carrying out predoctoral research projects in the US.
Of these, 10 are of the general program, open to doctoral students at any Spanish university, 7 are specific for doctoral students from universities in Andalusia and 4 are specific for doctoral students from universities in Murcia.
Requirements:

Spanish citizenship.

Being enrolled in a doctoral programme at a Spanish university, having completed the first year and having a positively assessed research plan.

Adequate knowledge of the English language —spoken and written—, verifiable through: TOEFL Internet Based Test (IBT - minimum grade 94); TOEFL Essentials Test with a minimum grade of 9,5; IELTS Academic Version (minimum grade 6,5); Duolingo (minimum grade 115). Only exams taken after January the 1st, 2022 will be valid.
Duration:
From 6 to 12 continuous months, without a chance of extension or renovation.
Grant period:
From the September the 1st, 2024 to December the 31st, 2025. Exceptionally, projects starting on August the 1st, 2024 will be considered.
Grant benefits:

Travel and settling expenses: between 2,300 and 2,600 USD

Monthly maintenance: between 1,485 and 2,925 USD

Project-related expenses: up to 4,000 USD

Mandatory fees at the institution: up to 5,000 USD

Health benefit plan for accident or sickness
Deadline for submission of applications:
From the 21st of September 2023 to the 1st of December 2023.
