The Industrial Doctorate in the space field: Information and testimonies for companies and research groups – December 12th 17:30h
The transfer of research results to society is increasingly important for universities and researchers. An industrial doctorate is an excellent opportunity to attract advanced talent and promote a collaborative project with a company that facilitates the generation of knowledge. The field of space science and technology stands out for having companies with a high content in research and development, being a very favourable environment for the realization of industrial doctorates.
The NewSpace Strategy is promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya with the collaboration of the Institut d'Estudis Espacials de Catalunya (IEEC), the i2Cat Foundation and the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (ICGC). Its main objective is to support the deployment of the new space economy and to make Catalonia a pole of innovation, leadership, and attraction of talent and companies in the field of this growing sector. Within this strategy, the IEEC wants to promote the collaboration of research centers and companies within the field of space to carry out industrial doctorates.
To facilitate these collaborations, the Generalitat de Catalunya has a fully consolidated line of public aid, the call for Industrial Doctorates, which has many attractions for participants: companies, students, and research groups. For its part, the UPC has proven experience in promoting industrial doctorates, with more than 245 projects.
