Mobility grants for young researchers

The Societat Econòmica Barcelonesa d’Amics del País and the Fundació Barcelonesa d’Amics del País, with the collaboration of Don Javier Godó, Conde de Godó, and the Fundació “La Caixa”, annually award 15 scholarships for young researchers under 35 years of age with the aim of promoting the development of research and teaching of the Catalan universities throughout the world.

The areas of interest are those that are related to the progress and development of Barcelona and its area of influence, the activity of the Societat Econòmica Barcelonesa d'Amics del País, in any of the following fields:

• Economic development

• Historical research

• Urbanism and territorial planning

• Industrial development and new emerging sectors

• Educational policies

• Health

These mobility grants are aimed at all teaching and research staff and doctoral students linked to universities and research centers (ICREA) in Catalonia. It is an essential condition to be under 35 years of age at the time of submitting the application.

The aid payment is for stays in research centres and foreign universities of at least 3 months. This aid will be of 4,200 euros, but cost of travel is the responsibility of the researcher.

The call is open until December 31, 2023. To be eligible for scholarship aid, those interested must send the application form duly completed, along with the letter of recommendation and the invitation letter from the centre where the stay will take place, as explained in the terms and conditions, to direccio@amicsdelpais.com.
