Doctoral Graduation Ceremony
The Doctoral Graduation Ceremony is an academic event of institutional nature, organised by the Doctoral School of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), with the purpose of formally recognising the attainment of the doctoral academic degree, the highest level in university education. This ceremony symbolises the culmination of a highly demanding academic and research training process and represents a recognition of the doctors who have successfully completed their doctoral research.
The ceremony serves as an institutional recognition event where academic distinctions are awarded to certify the status of doctor. This recognition not only highlights the academic and scientific contributions of the new doctors but also their contribution to the advancement of knowledge and their potential impact on social, economic, and technological development.
Furthermore, the graduation ceremony is an opportunity to strengthen cohesion and foster connections within the academic community, bringing together families, faculty members, researchers, and other stakeholders involved in the training and research process.
