Grants for contracts for the training of doctors at companies and other entities (Industrial Doctorates) 2025 of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities

From 13 January to 17 February 2026 at 2 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time), the application period for the grants corresponding to the year 2025 is open.

These are four-year grants for different types of entities aimed at promoting the implementation of industrial research or experimental development projects, within which a doctoral thesis is framed. Their purpose is to promote the labour insertion of research staff at the beginning of their professional careers, contribute to the employability of these researchers, and promote the incorporation of talent into the productive fabric in order to increase its competitiveness.

The industrial research or experimental development project may be carried out entirely at the applicant entity or in collaboration with another public or private entity.

The grants will cover the following items:

• Grant to finance the direct costs of the project: employment contract of the doctoral candidate, mobility expenses and other project execution costs.
• Grant to finance tuition fees for doctoral studies.

These grants are aimed at companies, as well as private non-profit entities and public administrations that, in their statutes, in the regulations governing them or in their corporate purpose, do not include R&D&I among their aims nor as an activity to be carried out.
