Fees
The fees for doctoral studies at the UPC are set by the Government of Catalonia. (Official Gazette of the Catalan Government, no. 9188, of 20 June 2024, Decree 113/2024, of 18 June, which sets the fees for the provision of academic services at Catalan public universities and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya for the 2023-2024 academic year).

Subsequent enrolments for tutorials
Enrolment for tutorials is compulsory every academic year and the fees are paid every year. The fees are the same regardless of whether doctoral studies are taken full- or part-time and the date of enrolment.

Fee estimate
The estimate is calculated according to Decree 113/2024, of 18 June, which sets the fees for the provision of academic services at Catalan public universities and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya for the 2024-2025 academic year.
For students in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), an average duration of four academic years for full-time doctoral studies is taken as a reference. This includes enrolment for tutorials every academic year, for the research plan in the first year and for the thesis deposit in the last year.
