Your presentation

The thesis defence must be held on a teaching day and is open to the public. At the defence, over the course of 40-45 minutes you must present to the examination committee and those in attendance the work that you have done on your doctoral thesis, the method followed, its content and the conclusions you have drawn, and make particular mention of the original contributions of your work.

In particular cases determined by the academic committee of the programme, such as the participation of companies or the possibility of generating patents related to the content of the thesis, the defence will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Section 10.3 of the Academic Regulations for Doctoral Studies to ensure that those aspects are not made public during the defence.
